A home inspection is an objective visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a house, from the roof to the foundation. CornerStone is governed by Standards of Practice set forth by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).
When you order your home inspection from CornerStone Home Inspections, the prices are based upon the square footage and type of foundation. Quotes are available at time of inquiry. My rates are extremely competitive.
Your inspection comes with a detailed report including pictures. This report is emailed to the client within 24 hours after the inspection is completed. It is generated as a PDF file that can be saved, printed, and emailed as needed.
Report includes analysis of:
- Structural Systems - foundation, framing, crawlspace, attic
- Exterior - wall coverings, doors, windows, decks, steps, walkways, driveways, vegetation and grading
- Roof System - roof coverings, drainage system, chimneys, skylights and other roof penetrations
- Plumbing System - interior water supply and distribution system, faucets and drains, vents and flues, water heating equipment, fuel storage and distribution systems, sumps
- Electrical System - service entrance and conductors, cables and raceways, over-current protection, ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCI's), arc fault circuit interrupters (AFCI’s)
- Heating System - heating equipment, vents, flues and chimneys
- Air Conditioning System - central and thru-the-wall equipment
- Interior - walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows
- Insulation and Ventilation - insulation and vapor retarders in unfinished spaces, attic and foundation ventilation
- Fireplaces and Solid Fuel Burning Appliances - system components, vents, flues, chimneys
Basic inspections do not include, but these may be performed at an additional cost:
- Wood destroying insect (WDI)
- Pool / Spa
- Well / Septic System
- Detached Building / Outdoor Cooking Equipment
